2013 Kindergarten Registration

If you are a Westborough resident and have a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2013, he or she is eligible to enter our kindergarten program in the fall of 2013. We are excited to meet your child and provide him or her with an exceptional educational experience. 

Your child will automatically be placed in a half-day program if the required forms are not submitted by February 28, 2013.  This deadline will not be waived.

Step 1:  Carefully read the Kindergarten Registration Letter and Guidelines before beginning the registration process.  Many parents received this letter in the mail but click here if you did not.

Step 2: Complete the on-line registration form by February 28^th, 2013.

You must complete the on-line form in one sitting so before completing the registration form make sure: (1) you have the work, home, and cell phone numbers of both parents/guardians handy as well as the email addresses of both parents; and, (2) you are prepared to select whether your child will attend the half-day kindergarten program or whether you will be applying for the full-day program.

 Step 3: Complete and mail the following hard copy forms to us by February 28^th 2013.

• Student Health History Form (click here to download the form)
• The Financial Aid Form.  This is only for families applying to the full-day program who have incomes at or below the limits on our eligibility chart (click here). 
  
• If you think your family qualifies click here for the Financial Aid Form.  

Mail these forms to Donna Latraverse, Westborough Public Schools, 45 West Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581 by February 28, 2013.

Step 4: For those applying to the full-day program the initial payment of $850
is due by February 28^th.  Full day tuition is $3,400.  This amount includes a $200 non-refundable registration fee. Continued participation in fee-based School Department programs is contingent upon the payment of invoices when due. The tuition rate and payment schedule is as follows:

1.  To be entered into the lottery $850 is due by Thursday, February 28^th
2.  Remaining balance in full on or before July 1^st  - $2,450 (this reflects a $100 discount); or
3. Three Installments of $850 due on July 1^st, October 1^st & December 1^st

Step 5:  Bring required medical documentation to the kindergarten screening. (The screening will take place in April or May.  Your school will contact you with an exact date and time).

Step 6:  If your son or daughter attended preschool please have the preschool complete and mail the Preschool History Form by April 12^th.
